Serial Experiment
Written by: Chiaki Konaka Genre: Sci-Fi / Mystery Lain seems to be a quiet, introverted, and disturbed young lady with frequent hallucinations. She, along with other students in her class, are receiving email from a classmate that recently committed suicide. On top of that, she also sees her now and again. From time to time she meets people who have met her before while 'wired', but with an opposite personality. When Lain wires into an advanced internet the usual blur between reality and virtual gets even foggier. Is that internet an expression of this world or this one an extension of that one or vice-versa. How deep is the connection from person to person and what exactly are they connected to. |

This series doesn't have alot of action or adventure but it does have an interesting and engrossing story. Hard to follow at times but in a way that makes the story better. |
